mediatEUr cooperates with Folke Bernadotte Academy on electoral violence

Folke Bernadotte Academy (FBA) has signed a partnership contract to work with Pierre Yves Monette and Antje Herrberg to support ECOWAS in the prevention of electoral violence through training on mediation and facilitation within electoral contexts. FBA has delivered trainings in Nigeria, Mali and will deliver one in Guinea Bissau.

In 2021, mediatEUr became Conciliation Resources EU/mediatEUr.

New EEAS Mediation Contract Signed

We are delighted to have signed a four-year framework contract on conflict prevention and mediation support for the EU, for which we were chosen together with our partners from swisspeace, ESSEC IRENE, CITpax, ECDPM, and Search for Common Ground. We place importance on delivering more than 'just a service' by practicing quality control and knowledge management. We hope to assist in the creation of a community of practice with those working in the field.

Kathrin Quesada appointed as Senior Executive Officer

Kathrin Quesada, member of the board and active member of mediatEUr, has been appointed as the Senior Executive Officer of mediatEUr. Kathrin, a trained lawyer and mediator, has substantial experience in Security Sector Reform and Women in Peace and Security issues.

mediatEUr receives a grant from the Bosch Foundation for its new project on the Future of Syria

mediatEUr is excited to have been awarded a grant from the Robert Bosch Foundation for a new project on the Future of Syria. The project proposes an innovative digital dialogue methodology that gives voice to Syrian refugees living in host communities in Jordan and Lebanon, to identify their own concerns as they look forward to their future. The objective of the project is to help transform current realities on the ground and inspire inclusive conflict resolution and international action.

mediatEUr’s Kathrin Quesada back to teach inclusive mediation at the State Police College of Baden Württemberg in Germany

From 28 to 30 January, Senior Executive Officer Kathrin Quesada delivered training on inclusive dialogue and mediation processes in post-conflict environments at the State Police College of Baden Württemberg in Germany. The programme, which has run since 2017 and was developed in close collaboration with mediatEUr, specifically targets police officers and civilians working in international peacekeeping missions.
