From Ebola survivor to community peacebuilder

At the height of the Ebola crisis, it was estimated that 75 per cent of people contracting the disease were women. As the primary care givers to the sick, as nurses and as traders, women were more exposed to the virus and as such were often ostracised by their communities.

Women's meaningful participation in peace

It is widely acknowledged that women’s meaningful participation in peace processes is fundamental to ensuring a sustainable and transformative peace. However there is still much to be learned about how to move forward in practical terms. Each peace process offers an opportunity to innovate and contribute to the global knowledge on how to improve the quality of a peace process.

Perspectives of non-state armed groups in the Central African Republic

For a number of years Conciliation Resources has been a proponent of engagement with armed groups to further a peace process. In the Central African Republic, insights into the factors that influence individuals to join and stay with armed groups, as well as the factors which prevent them from leaving, are valuable in understanding ways to approach and design peacebuilding initiatives.
