Hannes Siebert is a senior adviser for the UN and Common Space Initiative in Lebanon, Middle East and North Africa and Burma/Myanmar, providing technical and facilitation support to national dialogues and peace structures, and to constitutional and political reform processes. During the 1990s in South Africa, he served as a director in the National Peace Secretariat, and assisted the Special Presidential Task Force of President Nelson Mandela.

Timothy D. Sisk is Professor and Associate Dean for Research at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies, University of Denver, and Associate Fellow of the Geneva Center for Security Policy. He specialises in civil wars and political violence, and conflict prevention, management, and peacebuilding in fragile and post-war contexts.

Desirée Nilsson is Associate Professor at the Department of Peace and Conflict Research, Uppsala University. She has published articles on civil society actors in peace processes, power sharing, multiple parties in conflict termination and spoiler management. Her empirical work examines global data and also focuses specifically on the Liberian peace process. 

Yasmin Busran-Lao is a peace and civil society advocate who has co-founded Muslim women’s rights and development organisations in Muslim Mindanao, Philippines. A recipient of the 2005 Benigno S. Aquino Jr. Fellowship Award for Public Service, Yasmin was a key member of the Government Peace Negotiating Panel for Talks with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front. 

Rosa Emilia Salamanca is Executive Director of Corporación de Investigación y Acción Social y Económica (CIASE) in Colombia, a member of the Women, Peace and Security Collective for Reflection and Action, which calls for a transformation towards a more peaceful Colombian society. Rosa Emilia also participates in Coalicion 1325, which advocates for a Colombian National Action Plan on Women, Peace and Security.
