Mohamed was born in the Somali Region of Ethiopia and grew up in Kenya. He has vast experience in project management, logistics and human rights advocacy, and previously worked as the head of accounting and as a project manager for two private companies in Nairobi. In addition, he has worked as a consultant for Human Rights Watch and the Association for Criminal Justice providing case management and translation services to victims of human rights abuses. He is currently studying accounting and criminology.

Scoping for dialogue: Mapping Armenian constituencies and issues

This report presents the results of a small-scale research project carried out by Public Agenda, a Yerevan-based non-governmental organisation, in July-November 2021. It is part of an initiative to capture and understand bottom-up, community-based perceptions of the causes and consequences of the 2020 Karabakh war, as well as perspectives on dialogue and peacebuilding.

Why does conflict need to be part of climate policy discussions?

Despite a growing bank of evidence of the interplay between the climate crisis and conflicts, and the need to consider this intersection in climate responses, still little is actually being done. Conciliation Resources joined a network of organisations in Stockholm in May and June 2022 to make the case for peacebuilding and conflict sensitivity in climate change policy.

Discussing the climate crisis, conflict and peace

The complex connections between the climate crisis and conflict were explored during a recent event organised by Conciliation Resources, hosted by law firm Linklaters LLP. The lively discussion focused on the human costs of conflicts fuelled by the climate crisis, and the positive ways that those who are affected are working to respond to them.
