The conflict between the Ugandan government and the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) became infamous for widespread atrocities and the use of child soldiers. The original Accord 11, published in 2002, documents the history of peacebuilding initiatives and explains the complex story of how they led to more violence. An update in 2010 outlines subsequent developments, including the flawed Juba peace process.
