Before joining Conciliation Resources in November 2014, Paul was a consultant for UNDP-Philippine Country office focusing on the rehabilitation and recovery planning for typhoon Haiyan. Prior to this, he also held consultancy posts for the Office of the President of the Philippines focusing on communications and monitoring and evaluation projects. 

Paul has been in development work for almost 8 years, handling different projects and sectors. He volunteered for the Voluntary Service Overseas and British Council as a Global Xchange volunteer handling youth training projects in North Cotabato, Mindanao. He also handled the anti-child labor project of World Vision from 2007 – 2010 in Cebu and Negros, Philippines. From 2012-2013 he managed the USAID funded project called Literacy for Peace and Development in Mindanao implemented by Magbassa Kita Foundation implemented across the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao. 
Paul holds a double master degree in Public Policy Specialising in Development and Masters of Diplomacy from the Australian National University in Canberra, Australia. He was also a summer course scholar in Mediation and Other Method to foster democratic dialogues from the Central European University in Budapest, Hungary.
