Mira joined Conciliation Resources as Caucasus Projects Manager in October 2008 and until 2016 facilitated dialogue processes and managed projects with a focus on good governance, youth engagement and media development, primarily in the Georgian-Abkhaz context.
Previously Mira spent more than five years in the South Caucasus, running the Heinrich Böll Foundation's Women’s Empowerment and Gender Democracy programme, and managing projects on conflict transformation, civic participation and minority rights. She was also a consultant for the humanitarian organisation Geneva Call, engaging with policymakers and civil society across the South Caucasus on issues concerning anti-personnel mines and persons with disabilities.
From 2010-2016 Mira served as Trustee with Berlin-based Mobile Academy for Gender Democracy and Peace Education (OWEN).
Mira holds a Master’s degree in English language and literature, Slavic studies and Philosophy from the University of Cologne, Germany. Languages other than English: German, Russian, Georgian (conversational).
