Linda Manano
Linda works at the West Nile Mediation Center in Arua. The centre focuses on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and human rights in the country. She is currently a lead mediator and the head of the ADR department. She has mediated over 59 matters since 2017 ranging from land, family and property, child maintenance, accident and employment claims
She is inspired to make contributions to conflict management through the practice of mediation and influencing ADR policy in the country. Recently she was involved in formulating the mediation practice and training manual for refugee community leaders in West Nile with the support of UNHCR and Refugee Law Project.
Linda has a LLB from Islamic University in Uganda and is currently pursuing an LLM in Commercial Law. She is a member of Uganda Law Society, and is awaiting enrolment to the Ugandan bar. She is a trained Court Mediator, and accredited by the Judiciary of Uganda to handle court-annexed mediations.
Linda Manano is a member of Women Mediators across the Commonwealth (WMC), a network hosted by Conciliation Resources which connects women with a broad range of mediation knowledge and experience.
