Aden Abdi

Aden Abdi is the Horn of Africa Programme Director at Conciliation Resources spearheading our work in the region. Aden provided crucial technical and accompaniment support to the peace mediation process between the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF), which eventually culminated in the Asmara peace agreement in October 2018. Aden has over 14 years of experience supporting and implementing governance and peacebuilding programmes in Kenya, Somalia, and Ethiopia. He has worked with a wide range of local, regional and national governments, opposition groups, civil society actors, local communities and donor governments in the Horn of Africa region.

Jonathan Cohen

Jonathan was appointed Executive Director of  Conciliation Resources in May 2016. He joined Conciliation Resources in 1997 and developed the Caucasus programme focusing on dialogue and confidence building initiatives to promote peacebuilding in the Caucasus. In September 2008 he became Director of Programmes overseeing Conciliation Resources’s regional programmes in the Caucasus, Colombia, West Africa, East and Central Africa, the Horn of Africa, the Philippines, Fiji and India/Pakistan in relation to Kashmir.
