NUAPP statement

This is a statement from the Northern Uganda Advocacy Partnership for Peace (NUAPP).  NUAPP, of which Conciliation Resources is a member, is a coalition of London-based non-government organisations and partners in northern Uganda.

This call is made in the context of 'Operation Lightning Thunder' and the huge costs in terms of deaths, the peace process and the displacement of peoples.  NUAPP urges the British Government and international community to note the needs for an immediate ceasefire, urgent humanitarian assistance, greater understanding of the involvement of abductees in the Lord's Resistance Army and commitment to a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
