Conciliation Resources' submission to the UK government to influence its Strategic Defence and Security Review (SDSR), which identifies the threats facing UK national security and the means by which the government will respond to these.

This submission argues that the SDSR should uphold conflict prevention and peacebuilding as an integral part of a strategy that serves our national security. Building on our previous contributions to the UK government's SDSR (2010) and its subsequent Building Stability Overseas Strategy (2011), the submission puts across three key points:
- Prioritise long-term, preventative action to address the root causes and drivers of conflicts
- Invest in the full range of conflict resolution tools as an effective response to conflict
- Ensure the coherence of UK Government strategies and policies to prevent conflict and protect national security
