Spotlight on Georgia

This report, edited by Adam Hug of the Foreign Policy Centre (FPC), is a collection of articles by different experts to help assess the state of Georgia and what can be done to help. 

The preface, by Commissioner Ferrero Waldner, sets out the EU’s view on current events in Georgia and the challenges facing the new Eastern Partnership.

Other papers feature topics such as public opinion within Georgia, the judiciary, journalism and the state's accountability.  The report also includes studies on the electoral process, security services, EU engagement and also on the US perspective, long-term security strategies, breakaway regions and UK involvement.  

There is a list of recommendations for development in the country by way of a conclusion.
