Reflections on the UK Government’s draft ‘Joint Analysis of Conflict and Stability’ tool

Conciliation Resources welcomes the UK government’s commitment in its Building Stability Overseas Strategy (BSOS) to develop a new cross-government strategic conflict assessment tool.

This three-page peer review document was sent to the UK government to feedback on the draft Joint Analysis of Conflict and Stability (JACS) Guidance notes.

We based our feedback, which focuses on the framing and some elements of its content, on Conciliation Resources’ peacebuilding work, our Accord publication methodology and the lessons drawn from People’s Peacemaking Perspectives, a joint project with Saferworld involving participatory conflict analysis.
