On 27 March 2014 the Government of the Philippines signed a historic peace agreement with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) in Manila. This is the most significant peace deal since Nepal in 2006. Conciliation Resources' Kristian Herbolzheimer spoke to Al Jazeera about the achievements and the long term challenges of the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro. 

The British government and Conciliation Resources, have been closely involved in supporting the peace process as members of the International Contact Group (ICG), who has been advising and shuttling between the Government and the MILF over the past four years.
