A lawyer by education and ardent defender of human rights and the peaceful transformation of conflicts, Luis was one of the longest serving members of mediaEUr. In July 2018, he was elected as a member of the Board. Together with our “Future of Syria” project team, Luis successfully carried out the first phase of mediatEUr’s project for the Robert Bosch Foundation and was instrumental in ensuring a smooth transition for the organisation following the departure of mediatEUr’s founder and previous CEO, Antje Herrberg.
Luis was passionate about life, generous in his encounters and genuine in his efforts to make a difference and work towards world peace. Having lost him leaves a huge gap.
Our hearts go out to Luis’ family and close friends. May he rest in peace.
