Mrs. Kathrin Quesada, Senior Executive Officer of mediatEUr, and Mr. Jérôme Grimaud were the lead trainers of this two-day mediation seminar. Participants were introduced to general concepts and principles in mediation, good practices at national, regional and international levels, conflict analysis and process design, mediator skills and communication tools, as well as to multi-track and humanitarian mediation. We were also pleased to welcome Mr. Michael Keating, Executive Director of the European Institute of Peace and former UN SRSG for Somalia, who engaged in a fruitful conversation with the participants on specific peace processes.
We hope to continue contributing to mediation capacity-building within the Belgian MFA in the future!
