The Smart Peace programme looks at ways to improve sustainable peacebuilding in some of the world’s most fragile states. Focusing on Nigeria, Myanmar and the Central African Republic, the programme explores how those involved in conflict resolution can be more strategic in their use of new, adaptive and recognised approaches to ending violence and addressing the underlying causes of conflict.
Smart Peace is implemented by a consortium led by Conciliation Resources in partnership with International Crisis Group, the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue, The Asia Foundation, the Center for Security Studies at ETH Zurich, the Behavioural Insights Team and Chatham House. Smart Peace is funded with UK aid from the UK government.
