This paper builds on Conciliation Resources’ experience in climate change-related peacebuilding programming in the Pacific, as part of the ‘Building Peace in Climate Change-affected Communities’ Programme  and Conciliation Resources’ ongoing peacebuilding programme in Bougainville. It considers programme approaches taken by Conciliation Resources and partners, the Nazareth Centre for Rehabilitation and the Bougainville Women’s Federation, around climate change-related conflict challenges in peacebuilding work and natural disaster response.

Drawing together Conciliation Resources’ analysis and learnings, this paper outlines policy and learning implications for government, civil society and peacebuilding actors responding to climate change and conflict challenges.
