Kennedy joined Conciliation Resources in October 2007 after working as a conflict specialist with USAID where he worked in the LRA-affected regions of Uganda, as well as on pastoral conflicts and the proliferation of small arms and light weapons.

Before this he worked as programme coordinator with DANIDA where he was a focal person for interventions in Karamoja, and in 2001–02 helped facilitate peace talks between the Ugandan government and the Uganda National Rescue Front II.

He also has experience of helping strengthen organisational capacities of NGOs and networks in conflict-affected regions and has worked as a policy and research officer for the Uganda Debt Network.

He holds an MA in Conflict Resolution from the University of Bradford and an MSc in Agricultural Economics from Makerere University, Kampala.
