Charlotte joined Conciliation Resources in March 2013 as part of the South Asia Programme. Between September 2013 and August 2015, Charlotte worked closely with Conciliation Resources' Programmes team, as well as partner organisation Saferworld, to implement the Capacities for Peace project. The project sought to support local actors to enhance the effectiveness of early warning and early action in conflict-affected contexts. After working across a range of regions through that project, she now focuses exclusively on South Asia.
Charlotte previously worked as a human rights accompanier in Colombia with the Fellowship of Reconciliation, protecting human rights defenders and communities whose lives and work are threatened by political violence. Prior to this, she worked as a Junior Professional Fellow at the United Nations University Office in New York and in a local human rights centre in the south of Mexico. Charlotte holds an MPhil in International Relations and a BA in Modern and Medieval Languages from the University of Cambridge. As well as English, she speaks fluent French, Spanish and Portuguese, as well as intermediate Arabic and Urdu.
