Conciliation Resources made a submission to the Department for International Development's (DFID) White Paper Consultation on fragile and conflict-affected countries and international institutional reform.
It recommends that the UK government strengthens its infrastructure for conflict prevention and peacebuilding. More specifically, it suggests supporting a global framework for conflict prevention which links together local, regional and international responses and also that the UK prioritises building local capacities and develops coherent country strategies. Finally, it submits that DFID's internal resources need to be coordinated.
