Examining peace transitions in Bougainville, Nepal and Colombia

This practice-based research draws on participatory workshops and consultations that were organised jointly with Conciliation Resources’ partners in the three contexts. It also builds on broader guidance, published simultaneously by Conciliation Resources, which extends understanding of how peace processes facilitate inclusion, including horizontal and vertical inclusion, in particular non-elite groups.

This report is funded by UK aid from the UK Department for International Development through the Peace Research Partnership. Saferworld, Conciliation Resources and International Alert are collaborating on a three-year research programme which generates evidence and lessons for policy-makers and practitioners on how to support peaceful, inclusive change in conflict-affected areas. The research focuses on economic development, peace processes, institutions and gender drivers of conflict. Find out more.
