This brief focuses on the work in the Mano River region, where Capacities for Peace activities enabled representatives from local non-governmental organisations and community members from border regions in Liberia and Côte d’Ivoire to conduct joint analysis and engage with local and national policy actors. These engagements led to a dialogue process between Ivorian and Liberian border communities, civil society and government representatives.

Conciliation Resources’ broader programme of work in West Africa aims to strengthen the capacities of local people to tackle conflict issues, including in areas affected by the Ebola crisis where there has been heightened insecurity.
